Storytime for childminders in County Cork
Cork County Childcare Committee and Cork County Council Library & Arts Service are delighted to invite childminders and the children they care for to a morning of stories, songs and rhymes in Clonakilty and Carrigaline libraries (see dates and times below). Librarians from both libraries will facilitate the storytime, give tips on sharing books with children as well as tell you all about the services available in your local library.
Prebooking is advised and can be done by contacting Denise on (087) 1044448 / dquinlan@corkchildcare.ie.
Why not come along with the children on the day.

Tusla Children First E-Learning Programme
Tusla has worked with the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth and the HSE to develop a universal e-learning programme called ‘Introduction to Children First’.
The programme has been written to support people of all backgrounds and experience in recognising concerns about children and reporting such concerns if they arise.
The programme is based on Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children and the Children First Act 2015.
To adhere to best practice in relation to Child Protection & Welfare, all childminders should complete the E-learning programme. The programme takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete and can be done at once or in a number of sittings.
Cork City & Cork County Childcare Committees are hosting a series of online Childminding Business Information Sessions for existing or potential childminders. We will be delivering the sessions at 10am in the morning and at 7pm in the evening over four weeks commencing in September. The four sessions are as follows:

Session 2: Setting your Fees (27th September)
Session 3: Developing a Childminder & Parent Contract (4th October)
Session 4: Childminding & Revenue (11th October)
You are welcome to attend all four sessions or individual sessions depending on your information and support needs. Each information session is approximately one hour, however Session 4 is approximately 1.5 hours.
